Maple Sugaring

The dedicated volunteers of the Maple Sugaring Project at Lusscroft begin their work in January, checking and repairing lines and tappings, acquiring the needed supplies, collecting the sap and making the syrup.

Questions can be emailed to lusscroftfarm@gmail.com.

In mid to late March, depending upon the weather conditions, the Maple Sugaring Open House is held. Volunteers educate visitors on how they tap the trees, collect the sap, and make the delicious maple syrup. Syrup will be for sale while supplies last. Proceeds from the syrup sales go to funding the Maple Sugaring Project and restoration of Lusscroft.
